What we do
Each month FFN-GC, in collaboration with community resources, provides activities, classes and recreational opportunities for its members.
Other activities such as an annual picnic, bell choir performances and occasional day-long trips with chaperones may also be offered. Small fee payments are required for most activities, such as $5-$15, though there may be an additional charge for activities involving meals. Fees can be private pay or individuals with waivers may pay fees through their waiver. In-home services (HelpTEAM) is a FFN-GC program now under development. In-home support services are provided by professional service providers.
How to participate
In some cases activities may involve physical activities such as walking up stairs but we try to accommodate physical limitations. Individuals must complete a registration packet before joining an activity. There is no charge for the packet.
For additional information about FFN-GC or information about registering for an activity, contact us at info@ffn-gc.org or call 614-451-9473.

HelpTEAM
About the HelpTEAM
Parents and guardians of adults with disabilities accept the responsibility of caring for their loved ones, helping them to become as self-sufficient as possible. But as parents and guardians age, they face serious questions about ongoing life care arrangements for their loved ones.
The HelpTEAM is a comprehensive program providing in-home and social support services for independent-minded individuals with intellectual disabilities.
About HelpTEAM participants
Participants in the HelpTEAM program may be using private pay at FFN-GC’s very competitive hourly rates or participants can use SELF, Level One or IO waiver. No minimum hourly blocks required.
Participants should be skilled in all basic self-care areas including dressing, hygiene, toileting, mobility, nutrition, housekeeping, taking of medications, mental awareness, and controlled behavior.
Participants may occasionally require more comprehensive care, and HelpTEAM is available to assist in identifying suitable support resources.
How it works
An individualized service plan (ISP) is developed with family, participant, and the HelpTEAM administrator and support staff. All interpersonal and social support needs are included as part of the written ISP plan. Participants in the program can expect the following:
-
An ISP tailored to their needs that is reviewed and updated annually or more often to reflect evolving needs of participants as over time.
-
County-certified HelpTEAM support staff to provide services one-on-one in the participants’ home or engaged with others out in the community.
-
Access to on-call or flexible service support as well as regularly scheduled services.
-
Transportation options are available.
