Get involved with FFN-GC volunteers

FFN-GC is fortunate to have more than thirty active volunteers who give their time, knowledge and life experiences to help individuals with disabilities or on the autism spectrum.  Volunteers support these individuals and their families and friends through social, educational and recreational programs.

Our volunteers do this by helping create and teach in-person classes and activities, often in collaboration with other community partners.  Here are some examples:

  • Cooking and Healthy Eating Classes

    • Monthly cooking dinner class

    • Monthly cooking brunch class

    • Quarterly nutrition class

    • Annual class in outdoor kitchen at Franklin Park Community Gardens

  • Gifts from the Kitchen class annually in December

  • Holiday gift card exchange annually in December

  • Seasonal gardening classes in our Community Garden plot

  • Bell Choir practices and performances

  • Happiness classes monthly

  • Bocce ball bi-weekly

  • ...and more!

The volunteers of FFN-GC have been helping for more than a decade as shown in the following you-tube video from our archives:

We are always looking at ways to provide learning opportunities. If you have an idea that you would like to help with, please contact info@ffn-gc.org
